Practice Your Figure-Eights at the National Sculpture Garden’s Ice Skating Rink
Layer up your warm clothing and grab your gloves for Ice Skating at the National Sculpture Garden! At the National Gallery of Art Sculpture Garden, people of all ages are invited to enjoy ice skating. Ice skating rates for two 45-minute sessions are $10 for adults and children over the age of 13, $9 for skaters over the age of 60, children under the age of 12, and students with a valid school ID, and $225 for season passes. Just beginning your skating journey? Consider private and group lessons, offered by Emme Porter and the Washington Elite Skating School team of instructors through the Learn to Skate USA program. Before you leave, be sure to stop at the Pavilion Café, where you’ll choose from a menu of freshly made sandwiches, salads, flatbreads, soups, and sweet desserts.
Ice Skating at The National Sculpture Garden will be open until March 6, 2022, operating Sunday through Thursday from 11 a.m. to 9 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 11 a.m. to 11 p.m. The rink is closed December 25 and January 1 and any days with rain or extreme temperatures. The Pavilion Café is open Sunday through Thursday from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. and Friday and Saturday from 10 a.m. to 6 p.m.
