Mexican Cuisine Gets a Modern Spin at Mexicue, Now Open in DC

Now open near your apartment at Flats 130,  Mexicue serves your favorite Mexican fare favorites with a new, modern spin. There are several popular locations in New York, and now DC folks can chow down on tostadas, nachos, and bowls mounded with fresh vegetables, flavorful meats, and spicy sauces. There are also plenty of options for low-carb eaters, including romaine taco boats with seafood or avocado chicken. The drinks are just as flavorful and classic, and at happy hour, the Pueblo Viejo-spiked margaritas are just $6.50. Initial reviews on Yelp are already strong, with repeat customers clamoring for the barbecue pork, smoky chicken, and savory brisket.

Expect a fresh, cozy dining area and bar, whether you make Mexicue the spot for upcoming holiday dinners or a celebratory weekend brunch. Mexican is on 14th Street, a couple of blocks off Logan Circle in the old Meatball Shop location. Doors open daily at 11 a.m.
