Who’s Your Go-To Food Vendor at Smorgasbord DC?
Foodies, there’s an amazing dining experience in town, and you need to know about it. It’s called Smorgasbord DC, and it takes place every Saturday through October at Tingey Plaza in Navy Yard.
This expansive food market is the biggest one of its kind in the entire world. You may recall its successful outposts from your travels to New York and Los Angeles. The DC version brings together more than 30 different local food vendors, spanning a wide variety of cuisines. Asian, Latin, American, and plenty of other food styles are represented. Each vendor goes through a careful vetting process by Smorgasbord, which ensures that you’ll enjoy only the best dishes the city has to offer. When you get thirsty, head to the beverage garden, where you can enjoy beer, wine, and cocktails, among other things. Bring a reusable water bottle to take advantage of the free refill stations found throughout the plaza.
The event takes place 11 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Saturdays. Tingey Plaza is located on the corner of New Jersey Avenue and Tingey Street Southeast.
