Don’t Miss the Canal Park Ice Rink When It Opens This November!
Canal Park Ice Rink opened November 17th, and it’s one of Capitol Riverfront’s many neighborhood winter attractions. Unlike many of the area’s other outdoor skating rinks, Canal Park is specifically designed to create the same sort of feeling you would get skating along the frozen canals of Europe. If you’re a novice skater, the park also offers Learn to Skate classes that will have you zipping along like a seasoned pro in no time. Located one block from Navy Yard Metro, the rink is easy to find, but remains a lesser-known gem. If you’re looking to avoid the crowds, Canal Park is perfect for a low-key skating session.
Admission to the skating rink is $9 for adults and $8 for children and seniors with skate rentals costing $5. In addition, visitors can purchase 10-visit passes or season passes at a discounted rate. The Canal Park Ice Rink is open Sunday through Thursday 12 p.m. to 10 p.m., Friday 12 p.m. to 11 p.m., and Saturday 10 a.m. to 11 p.m.
