Find New England Dishes for Lunch and Dinner at The Salt Line
The Salt Line, which just opened about six weeks ago, serves up New England classics and Chesapeake dishes on DC’s Southeast riverfront. The menu consists of appetizers, meat and seafood entrees, sandwiches, crudos, and sides.
Enjoy classic dishes like bacon-spiked clam chowder, fried clam bellies, and dressed or buttered lobster rolls. Try one of their most popular dishes, the Nashville Hot Soft Shell Crab with griddled white bread, pickled green tomatoes, black-garlic honey, and Old Bay croutons. Pair your meal with one of their summery drinks from the outdoor bar, such as the Fish House Rum Punch, beers, and warm-weather wine.
The seafood house has a classy nautical theme with cedar shingles, old ship prows, sea-green booths, and brass dolphins. The 100-seat outdoor patio overlooks the Anacostia River – perfect for Happy Hour drinks or dining al fresco. The Salt Line serves dinner every evening, along with a weekend lunch menu.
