Rodgers & Hammerstein’s The King and I has a rich and storied history on the stage and screen, and this most recent adaptation at the John F. Kennedy Center is bound to be considered as one of the finest iterations.

This classic tale tells the story of the unconventional relationship that develops between the King of Siam and a British schoolteacher brought to Siam to teach the King’s many wives and children. The musical is set in 1860’s Bangkok, and you will be swept away to another world with the show’s brilliant costumes, uplifting musical score, and outstanding set design. The show is winner of four 2015 Tony Awards, including Best Revival of a Musical, and includes beloved songs like “Getting To Know You” and “I Whistle a Happy Tune”.
