Explore Your Favorite Museum at Night at Smithsonian Sleepovers

Imagine a sleepover under a space shuttle, or next to the prehistoric bones of a triceratops. That’s what you’ll get when you have a Smithsonian Sleepover! Choose from the National American History Museum, Natural History Museum, or the Space Museum’s Udvar-Hazy Center. Check-in after the museum closes, and explore the museum with hand-on activities and unique games and experiences. Each museum features a different activity schedule, so you child can choose the adventure that is right for them.

After a good night’s sleep, enjoy breakfast and a trip to the family store, all the while talking about your explorations. Smithsonian Sleepovers are for children 8 to 12 years of age, and there must be at least one adult for every three children in any group. Various dates are available depending on the museum schedule. Visit the website to learn more about the programs or to reserve a date. You can also sign up for email updates to be the first to know when new dates are on sale.
