Learn About Plants Through Upcoming Programs at the United States Botanic Garden
If you’re looking for something a bit different to do this winter, check out the upcoming programs and events at the United States Botanic Garden. Located just under two miles from Elevation at Washington Gateway apartments, the winter displays at the Botanic Garden are someof the most impressive in the greater D.C. area.
Within the Conservatory, guests will see large trees surrounded by thousands of vivid, living plants. The “Highlights from the Conservatory Collection” tour gives visitors a chance to see a jungle, desert, and tropical paradise, as well as the U.S. during the Jurrasic period and unique crops like bananas, cacao, and coffee. January children’s programs include include “January Seedlings”, and these educational events take place in the Conservatory Classroom. For foodies, there are even cooking demonstrations like the “Snow Under Snow” class all about winter gardening.
