Don’t Miss the Exhibit “One Life: Babe Ruth” at the National Portrait Gallery
The National Portrait Gallery is hosting an awesome exhibition for all baseball fans: “One Life: Babe Ruth.” The exhibition will feature Babe Ruth as the iconic baseball player he was, in a time before baseball players were celebrities. It chronicles Ruth from the very beginning of his baseball career in 1914 until his death in 1948. The exhibition features about 40 objects, including photographs, personal possessions and advertising and marketing materials from that time that Ruth himself endorsed.
“One Life: Babe Ruth” is an excellent way to spend a hot summer afternoon indoors, and it’s conveniently located just 1.5 miles from Elevation at Washington Gateway. You have a while to see it, though, as it will be featured in the National Portrait Gallery from June 24, 2016 until May 21, 2017. Exhibit hours are 11:30 a.m. to 7:30 p.m. daily, and admission is free. It’s truly a must-see for all baseball fans!
