Want to Give Your Kitchen at Elevation at Washington Gateway the Night Off? Order a Pie From Bacio Pizzeria!
Restaurant critics and locals alike put Bacio Pizzeria in Bloomingdale on the list of the best pies in the city. The owner, Atilla Suzer, worked as a journalist in his native Turkey before moving to the United States. Pies at Bacio are made from fresh organic ingredients and named after neighborhoods in the District; Yelp reviewers particularly praise the Seaton, with its roasted red peppers and prosciutto toppings.
Regulars also recommend Bacio as a nice spot for a second or third date. It’s charming yet casual, the food is good without being a big production, and the full-service upstairs dining room is tasteful and not too crowded. Reservations are not accepted, but if you’d rather eat back at Elevation at Washington Gateway, note that Bacio offers take-out specials.
